The company are a fast growing small independent hostel group, owned by 2 young Aussies. They started with one backpackers in 2011 & now have 4 hostels in the group. The chosen applicant will have the opportunity to work across all of the sites. In return will receive free accomodation, which includes breakfast, wifi, free gym access, some weekly dinners free & some great opportunities to get fully engrossed in the industry. The hours are flexible so can work around studies.
Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
* Working alongside the General Manager
* How to work with OTA's (Online Travel Agencies)
* Training with Channel Management System (CMS) & Property Management System (PMS)
* Importance of social media presence & encouraging direct bookings (FB, instagram etc)
* Writing & posting travel blogs
* Updating websites
* Hosting events for guests
* Front of House training – dealing with customers, complaints, managing a team (cleaners/reception), check in/out process, day-to-day runnings of accommodation properties
* Data Collection & Analysis using reports from PMS system & OTA's
* Staff motivation
* Design work for signage
