Typical day in a Shop
In your 4‐hour shift (or longer if desired) you will perform tasks such as:
* Welcoming and engaging customers
* Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
* Sorting and pricing donations
* Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
* Keeping the shop clean and tidy
* Following all shop processes
Skills required
* Friendly and positive attitude
* Sociable and engaging with others
* Happy to work as part of a team
* Flexible and willing to do any shop task
* Commitment to your nominated shift
Application requirements
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age (or 16 in QLD), complete a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross), and complete an induction into the organisation and retail program.
Eligibility & Role details
Category: Community Services
Commitment: Regular – less than 6 months
Type of work: Retail & Sales
Time required: Minimum 4 hours per week; weekday and/or weekends
Training: Volunteer induction and role specific training will be provided.
