About the role:
The role is responsible for supporting the effective management of employee health, safety, and wellbeing across the department. This includes the timely coordination of complex WorkCover claims beyond 130 weeks, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and proactive engagement with the department's WorkCover Agent.
The role also contributes to the delivery of employee wellbeing initiatives, maintains health and safety representation structures, and supports risk management activities such as audits, inspections, and investigations. Additionally, the role ensures accurate data entry and system maintenance to enable effective reporting and analysis.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?
* Timely management of active WorkCover claims post 130 weeks, including proactive engagement with the department's WorkCover Agent to assess and coordinate ongoing entitlements such as weekly payments, medical expenses, and occupational rehabilitation.
* Assist delivering and promoting the departments employee wellbeing and support program to ensure employees have access to the right support at the right time.
* Monitor and maintain health and safety representation structures and roles (DWGs, DMRs, HSRs, first aid officers and wardens
* Assist with data entry and database management by accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining records in departmental systems. This includes verifying information, identifying discrepancies, and supporting reporting and analysis activities as required.
* Support health and safety risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations to monitor the effectiveness of systems in protecting employee health and safety.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in an allied health, or human resource background is highly desirable.
Specialist Expertise
* Knowledge and understanding of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic).
* Extensive experience in managing complex injury management cases - preferably with a WorkCover Insurer or rehabilitation provider.
