Role description
To support our Queensland Civil Infrastructure Business, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a variety of infrastructure projects that are local, national, and international. The ideal candidate will have experience managing civil and/or structural, water, or energy projects for government and contractor clients, across a range of contract forms from Design Only to Design & Construct (D&C;) and Alliances. We are looking for someone who can help develop and grow our project management capability locally.
As a Senior Project Manager you will balance strong commercial acumen with the ability to establish long-term relationships with clients by delivering to their needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage Arcadis and Joint Venture teams to meet client requirements for cost, time, and quality.
Manage project resourcing, sub-consultants, program, contracts, and scope changes to achieve positive outcomes.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep parties informed on relevant matters.
Implement and manage financial and project controls for monitoring and forecasting project finances.
Drive project performance, service delivery, technical coordination, and commercial outcomes.
Support the development of new business pursuits and bids; lead the compilation of tender documents and review tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts, and client reporting.
Provide effective leadership, direction, and mentorship to achieve company goals and promote a quality culture.
Maintain overview of commercial aspects and deploy financial and project management controls to monitor, modify, and forecast as appropriate.
Undertake project reviews to ensure client delivery exceeds expectations; strive for maximum client satisfaction and proactively work with clients toward mutually beneficial outcomes.
Identify, assess, and manage risks to avoid adverse impacts on projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience managing projects in a consultancy environment for government and contractor clients, with exposure to different contract forms.
Strong commercial background with familiarity with contractual conditions and ability to take commercial responsibility for projects.
Recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or Architecture.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
Highly motivated with a passion for delivering to client needs.
Established relationships with clients in the civil infrastructure sector; relationships in water and energy sectors are desirable.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
