Customer Service Representative / Storeperson
We are looking for a proactive and customer‐focused individual to join our Midalia Steel Midvale branch. This is a varied role that combines customer service and warehouse support, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‐paced environment and being hands‐on when required.
Working closely with customers, operations, and the warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment and delivery.
* Respond to incoming calls and customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Prepare quotations and manage orders through to accurate picking, packing, and on‐time delivery
* Build strong relationships with customers and provide value‐based solutions
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
* Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
About your experience
We are seeking a team player who thrives in a busy, customer‐focused environment and is equally comfortable supporting operational tasks when needed. You'll be a proactive problem‐solver with strong communication skills and a hands‐on attitude.
* Experience in customer service, ideally within a trade counter, industrial, manufacturing, or hardware environment
* Strong face‐to‐face and phone‐based customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with regular customers
* Proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach with a willingness to learnComfortable working across both customer service and warehouse duties, including manual handling
* Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
