As a seasoned concrete finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of finishes on various construction projects.
Job Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of concrete finishing is required.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is necessary.
Working Conditions
* Work is performed primarily outdoors, with frequent exposure to dust and extreme temperatures.
* Travel may be required to various job sites, which can be located in different parts of the city or province.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet project specifications.
* Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade and depth specifications.
* Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
* Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and eliminate air pockets.
* Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
* Impart desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
* Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
