Clubs Event Support Officer

Reports To: Events Lead, Student Life (Club Engagement)
About the Role
ActivateUTS is seeking a Clubs Event Support Officer to support the planning, promotion, and delivery of student club events across campus venues, including bars and cafés.
Working closely with club executives, the Bars Team, and the broader Student Life team, this role helps ensure club events run smoothly while improving communication, processes, and event visibility. You'll be a key point of contact for clubs, supporting bookings, event coordination, and on-the-day queries, while contributing to the vibrancy and sustainability of ActivateUTS venues.

Key Responsibilities
Event Support
* Support the planning and delivery of student club events within ActivateUTS venues.
* Liaise with club executives to understand event requirements and provide clear guidance and support.
* Assist in streamlining event booking processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
* Act as the primary point of contact for student clubs hosting events on campus.
* Promote club events hosted in ActivateUTS spaces to increase attendance and engagement.
* Provide feedback on opportunities to improve venue operations and event profitability.
* Support the branding and visibility of ActivateUTS venues.
* Respond to general club enquiries when working at reception.
Other Duties
* Support the Events Lead and broader Student Life team as required.
* Undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
About You – Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Understanding of university student culture and the role of clubs in campus life.
Desirable
* Involvement in student clubs or student organisations.
* Knowledge of campus-based hospitality or event operations.lli>Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
