The organisation currently manages government contracts including Workforce Australia, Employability Skills Training, Self Employment Assistance, Transition to Work and Parent Pathways as well as delivering youth services, First Nations and social inclusion initiatives.
Our proven model provides a continuum of support for job seekers aged 15-24. TAG's approach builds trust and sets expectations; our suite of assessments provide insight allowing targeted interventions.
As a Senior Career Advocate you will lead the team and provide operational support as required to assist the caseload by providing support to individuals/participants to overcome barriers and develop their capacity.
We will provide the training and support so you can successfully work with individuals, develop their skills, and identify employment opportunities and career paths. Core activities include:
* Conducting one-on-one coaching. This person centred approachrecognises a young person's existing skills, defining them by their future aspiration.
* Co-designing a young person's career roadmap, agreeing on goals and timeframes to develop skills and gain meaningful employment.
* Building relationships with community organisations and local stakeholders.
* Engaging local employers to understand their needs.
* Placing appropriately trained young people into known or advertised positions.
* Using established employer networks to promote transferable & recently gained skillsets.
* Conducting monthly performance review meetings
This is a full-time role and will be supporting the Cockburn, Kwinana and Fremantle sites.
Responsibilities
* Lead the team and provide operational support to assist the caseload and develop participants' capacity.
* Provide one-on-one coaching and implement person-centred interventions.
* Co-design career roadmaps with young people, including goals and timeframes.
* Develop relationships with community organisations, local stakeholders and employers.
* Identify and create employment opportunities and pathways for participants.
* Monitor progress through regular reviews and adapt supports as needed.
Qualifications
* Experience in Employment Services.
* Experience working to and achieving KPI.
* Have passion or experience in working with young people from a variety of different backgrounds.
* Be a results driven and motivated individual with a high level of initiative – experience in sales, retail, or travel highly regarded.
* Possess excellent administration and time management skills.
* Satisfy a pre-employment check including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
