Full-time, temporary from 5/2/24 up to 5/2/27 About the role You will be responsible to the Head of Nuclear Medicine for delivering Nuclear Medicine Medical Imaging services of the highest possible standard to SA Medical Imaging patients at Flinders Medical Centre. This will be achieved both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care, teaching and research. You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical and academic team, and actively support and participate in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure safe, appropriate, effective and efficient patient-centred care processes. Nuclear Medicine is located within Medical Imaging at Flinders Medical Centre, which is responsible for providing a comprehensive imaging service including general radiology, interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, ultrasound, angiography, mammography, bone densitometry and nuclear medicine. You will need to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, having passed the FRACP Part 1 or FRANZCR Part 2 examination. Clinical experience and competence in a wide range of Medical Imaging and/or Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures would be advantageous. You will work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have the ability to act as a role model for medical students, junior medical staff and Radiology Trainees. This will be supported by your ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff. In this role, you will bring: Qualifications & Registration MBBS (or equivalent) with: • MD-P2: General Registration; completion of RACP basic training (if applicable) • MD-P3: Specialist qualification and Specialist Registration eligibility • RANZCR trainees: Completion of Part II exam and all experiential requirements Clinical & Professional Capability Proven competence in Medical Imaging and/or Clinical Medicine, high-level decision-making and problem-solving skills, and experience working with consumers, carers and clinical governance systems. Communication & Collaboration Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, lead respectful behaviour, teach trainees and act as a positive role model. Leadership, Learning & Safety Focus Demonstrated commitment to clinical audit, research, continuing education, ethical conduct and safety legislation, with strong time-management skills and ability to respond constructively to change.
