This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to take the lead in establishing and managing a brand new Orthopaedic Surgical practice .
You won't be stepping into an existing role—you'll be building the foundations. From designing workflows to implementing systems and setting up every operational detail, you'll be at the heart of creating a new specialist service from scratch.

Part-time (4 days per week), 12-month initial contract with the opportunity for extension

What you'll do day to day:
Set up and manage the practice's administrative, digital, and clinical systems
Select and configure practice management software and digital infrastructure
Coordinate all patient bookings, consulting sessions, and surgical lists
Handle all medical billing processes including Medicare, WorkCover, DVA, and private health
Liaise with hospitals, insurers, referrers, and service providers
Manage financial operations including invoicing, payments, and supplier relationships
Develop and document policies and procedures to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations
What you bring:
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in medical practice management (surgical or specialist practice preferred)
Proven experience with Genie and/or Gen2 practice management software (essential)
Strong knowledge of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and ECLIPSE billing processes
Demonstrated ability to establish practice operations
Exceptional organisation, independence, and initiative
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a solo environment
A deep commitment to creating a welcoming, seamless, and supportive patient experience
Certificate IV or Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration (desirable)
