Role Summary
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the newly created AI Visibility Team in Sydney. The team will bring sentiment from AI chatbots and APIs into our brand sentiment platform, historically based on human survey data. You will manage a small team of senior engineers and drive the technical vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
* Drive experimentation, build and iterate on experiments to improve brand sentiment insight.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and customers to define business outcomes.
* Provide technical coaching, support, and career development for team members.
* Champion a culture of transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Strong technical leadership experience managing engineering teams of 3–5 senior engineers.
* Hands‐on experience designing and building complex applications in a cloud environment (AWS, CDK, Postgres, etc.).
* Broad engineering knowledge spanning React, NodeJS, TypeScript, Java, Python, and cloud services.
* Proven ability to think entrepreneurially, focus on business outcomes, and drive acquisition and activation.
* Comfortable with experimentation, data driven decision making, and leading structured problem solving.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
* Kind, supportive, and collaborative attitude that fosters team cohesion.
Compensation
$215,000 – $232,000 a year plus a generous ESOP and benefits package.
