The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director to join our team for a 12-month maternity cover.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated leader to oversee daily operations, ensure the highest standard of care and education, and continue fostering a supportive environment for staff, families, and the Katherine Community.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the childcare centre, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as ACECQA and the Education and Care National Regulations.
Lead, motivate and manage a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality education and care in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Build strong relationships with families and community stakeholders to promote the Centre's values and programmes.
Manage budgets, staffing and resources efficiently.
Maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children, staff and visitors.
Continuously evaluate and improve service quality through reflective practice and professional development.
Collaborate and communicate clearly with the Board of management.
About You
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
Proven leadership experience in an Early Years setting.
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Frameworks and safeguarding requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Ability to inspire and lead a team while maintaining a child-centred approach.
Experience managing budgets and centre resources.
Familiarity with Xplor or other childcare management software.
A proactive approach to professional development and quality improvement.
