The Role The Physiotherapy Team Lead will be responsible and accountable to develop, manage and deliver a specialist Physiotherapy Service as identified by the care group lead. The role involves introducing recent approaches to physiotherapy access and process, increasing focus on health promotion and self‑management, managing and organising an identified team employed to deliver the specialist physiotherapy service, and handling a highly specialised clinical caseload within their own area of clinical expertise.
What we’ll need you to bring
Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality/area of practice
Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development
Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification
The post holder will possess excellent team‑working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
Effective time management skills
Working knowledge of basic information technology
Car driver with a full, driving licence (must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence)
It would be outstanding if you also have
Membership of relevant specialist interest group
Evidence of training in supervision and leadership skills
Member of CSP
Contract type Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week
Location & Working Pattern This role will be based within Douglas Street Clinic. Working pattern: Monday to Friday. Although advertised for this specific post, shortlisted candidates may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
