We're looking for an
Azure Cloud Engineer
to join a forward-thinking team delivering a mix of project-based work and ongoing BAU support. You'll play a key role in strengthening the organisation's cloud security posture — designing secure Azure environments, embedding automation through Terraform, and ensuring operational excellence day to day.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing, deploying, and maintaining
secure and scalable Azure infrastructure
, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
* Building and hardening Azure landing zones
with strong governance, identity, and access controls.
* Automating security and infrastructure delivery
using Terraform (advanced Level 3 & 4 modules).
* Supporting key initiatives in
cloud security uplift
, including network segmentation, encryption, and policy automation.
* Contributing to BAU and support activities, maintaining reliability and resilience across production environments.
* Partnering with platform, security, and engineering teams to embed best-practice security principles in all deployments.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a
Cloud / Platform Engineer
with a strong focus on
Azure and cloud security
.
* Hands-on expertise in
Azure landing zone design
, identity and access management (IAM), and security controls.
* Advanced
Terraform experience
including complex module design for security and compliance automation.
* Strong understanding of
Azure networking, storage, compute, and monitoring
— with a security-first mindset.
* Knowledge of
cloud governance frameworks, security baselines, and policy-as-code (Azure Policy, Defender, Sentinel)
.
* Comfortable working across both
strategic projects and BAU
, with attention to operational stability and compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams.
