About the Role
Step into an essential Pharmacy Administration Officer role where your organisation, initiative, and attention to detail directly support better patient outcomes. You will be at the centre of a busy hospital service, keeping systems, people, and processes running smoothly so frontline clinicians can focus on what matters most. This fast‐paced position requires juggling a variety of responsibilities, including coordinating rosters, supporting recruitment, preparing reports, managing complex data, and maintaining patient and departmental systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide efficient administrative and clerical support, prioritising tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
* Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and in person, delivering high‐quality customer service.
* Support the Director of Pharmacy with recruitment, rostering, leave management, and payroll functions.
* Prepare accurate documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and financial data.
* Maintain accurate records and update patient administration systems.
* Collate information and prepare reports within tight deadlines.
* Support pharmacy inventory management processes.

You thrive in a fast‐paced, high‐volume healthcare environment, manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines, and take ownership of your work. You anticipate needs and consistently deliver high‐quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Certificates in pharmacy or administration.
* Demonstrated administrative experience within a healthcare setting.
* Experience using hospital information systems, including patient administration systems, payroll and procurement systems.
* Advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office and other digital platforms.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate correspondence, reports, and documentation.
* Proven ability to problem‐solve, use initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively.
* Knowledge or experience in inventory management.

Additional Information
* Remuneration: $37.91 - $38.78 Per Hour + 12% Super + Salary Packaging.
* Employment type: Permanent Full Time, hours per week 38.
* Location: Manning Hospital.
* This position is full time; however, part‐time or job‐share arrangements may also be considered.
* You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia, a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Temporary visa holders will only be considered in line with visa conditions and expiry.
