Role
We're seeking a talented Senior Engineer – Bridges & Structures to join our Perth team. This is more than just a design role – you'll play a key part in delivering transport infrastructure projects, contributing technical expertise, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver structural analysis and design in line with technical standards, client requirements and SMEC expectations
* Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness and coordination of deliverables
* Support the successful delivery of projects, contributing to commercial outcomes and overall team performance
* Apply project management principles to manage assigned tasks and meet project objectives on time and to the required standard
About You
You are an experienced structural engineer with a strong background in transport infrastructure design. You bring a collaborative approach, a focus on quality delivery and a track record of working effectively within engineering consultancy environments.
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, leading to membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent)
* Progression toward, or attainment of, Chartered / Certified Professional Engineer status
* 6+ years' experience in structural design, ideally within transport infrastructure projects
* Technical experience across highway and/or rail structures, including bridges and retaining walls
* Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute across multiple projects
* Strong written and report writing skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within culturally diverse and multidisciplinary teams
* Experience with bridge / structural inspections or willingness to develop these skills
