The Role
As the Maintenance Services Coordinator, you’ll oversee the day-to-day upkeep of our both our facilities in Cooma, NSW.
You’ll lead preventative and corrective maintenance, manage external contractors, and help ensure our homes remains protected, clean, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keep the facility’s asset register up to date
- Plan and manage refurbishments, equipment replacements, and capital works
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensure legal compliance with essential services maintenance
- Oversee external contractors and on-site maintenance work
- Maintain records and manage stock for maintenance tasks
- Support the upkeep of gardens and outdoor areas
- Maintain high standards in resident rooms and shared spaces
- Manage testing and tagging (if qualified)
- Assist with fire and evacuation planning and provide basic training to new staff
- Ensure vehicles are clean and serviced
- Participate in after-hours on-call support as needed
- Pitch in with any other relevant tasks when required
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- General maintenance and gardening skills
- Current driver's licence
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to get one)
Desirable (but not required):
- Experience running a maintenance program
- Horticulture or facility maintenance background
- Relevant trade qualification or testing/tagging certification
- Previous experience in aged care or similar settings
Applicants must meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements to be eligible for employment.
