The Company:
We're looking for a motivated Civil Supervisor to join our family-owned business and grow with us. You will be working on rural and remote civil construction projects (FIFO/DIDO) from government infrastructure works to private-sector renewable energy developments. At Blackform Contracting, we design, construct, and replace essential remote and rural infrastructure.
What we are looking for (Role):
* Civil Supervisor with 3+ years' experience in similar roles and on TMR style projects (specialising in form reo pour and installation of drainage structures)
* Proficient in Microsoft Windows and key applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* We are looking for a leader not a dictator, a supervisor who leads by example with a tool bag on and sets the pace. We aren't looking for a tier 1 supervisor who sits in the vehicle all day.
* Holds a valid Construction White Card and current driver's licence, Certificate III in a trade (Carpentry) and ideally machinery tickets
* Demonstrates a proactive and reliable work ethic
* This role requires a high level of fluency in written and spoken English. The ability to communicate information clearly, confidently and professionally in English is essential for success in this position
* FIFO/DIDO, happy to work on either 2:1 or 3:1 rosters
This is not a position where you will be sitting in the office or ute all day, we expect our Supervisors to be working on the tools with the team, taking responsibility for their crew's actions and work and driving the crew to meet the project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review drawings and specifications to ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements
* Liaise daily with clients to resolve low level conflicts as they arise throughout the span of the project
* Coordinate the procurement of materials
* Completing the required Quality Assurance documentation
* Schedules work to achieve the project program
* Organising the repairs to plant and machinery
* A proactive problem-solver with a focus on achieving the best outcome for the project
* Daily scheduling of project work fronts, allocating tasks to crews, conducting daily prestarts
* Onsite management of WHS to ensure all works are completed in a safe, planned manner
* Submission of dockets, approving and reviewing staff and subcontractor time sheets
* Completing and uploading of Supervisors report daily including photos, dockets and works completed for the day
