Job Overview
Teacher – Health and Physical Education (Permanent – Full Time, 1.0 FTE) located in Kalgoorlie, Eastern Goldfields College. Salary range: $88,178 – $127,737 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023). The role commences Term 3, 2026.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the Western Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum to secondary students, tailoring instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
* Plan and assess learning activities that promote academic excellence, student engagement, and holistic development.
* Collaborate with colleagues and the wider community to support student success and contribute to a positive school culture.
* Implement evidence‐based decision‐making and differentiate instruction to maximise learning outcomes.
* Participate in professional learning, mentoring, and leadership development opportunities provided by the school and the Department of Education.
* Promote the values, ethos and priorities of the school throughout the broader community.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Eligible teacher qualification and registration in Western Australia.
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work‐rights visa for the term of the appointment.
* Completed WA Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum for Health and Physical Education.
* Experience teaching senior school courses (ATA, General, School Based Certificate, Endorsed Programs) is desirable but not essential.
