**Role**
We are looking for Casual Foundation Studies and Murdoch University Preparation Course (MUPC) Teachers to teach Foundation and MUPC units to enable student learning.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparing and delivering of scheduled class lessons, practicals, workshops and excursions
- Deliver 1 hour of consultation time (per unit per week) for students to engage with outside of scheduled teaching hours
- Preparing unit teaching materials in collaboration with teaching team members
- Developing unit outlines, curriculum documents and assessment tasks in collaboration with other teaching team members
- Participation in College supported professional development sessions, as well as pursuing opportunities for self-directed professional learning
- Marking and assessment including grading, recording results and college and pathway moderation processes as required
- Exam setting, marking and invigilating (exam supervision)
- Consultation with students, being available to students for consultation out of class, especially for students considered to be at risk
- Undertaking pastoral care duties for under 18-year-old students in conjunction with Student Success Officers and the Academic Manager
- Maintain awareness of college resources, communications, information and staff in order to best direct students to support within the College regarding their health, safety and wellbeing
- Compliance with company policies and procedures including WHS legislation requirements
**Requirements**:
- Degree in relevant discipline (essential)
- Qualifications and experience in teaching to fit the Foundation Standards (essential)
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Interest in teaching and student learning
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Intellectual and operational flexibility
- Excellent computer literacy
- Demonstrated background in professional development endeavours (desirable)
- Experience in working with international students (desirable)
