About the Role:
Job Overview
The Senior Safety and Wellbeing Advisor plays a pivotal role in developing, managing, and delivering professional work health, safety, return to work and wellbeing and rehabilitation services. This includes effectively informing and supporting Senior Managers and staff responses and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement, review and report on work health, safety, wellbeing, and rehabilitation and return to work policies, guidelines, procedures and networks consistent with Health Service policy.
* Review, implement and coordinate the safety management system and rehabilitation and return to work services for CQ Health.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated high level of knowledge of and ability to apply the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and associated acts, regulations, policies and standards.
* Skill in conducting audits, investigating accidents and dangerous events to identify risks and causative factors, and making recommendations to control risks in compliance with the legislation.
* Able to apply injury management practices and strategies to facilitate appropriate outcomes for injured and ill employees that are in line with best practice case management and legislative standards for rehabilitation.
