Position Profile

An opportunity exists for a Lived Experience Coordinator to join our team. The Lived Experience Coordinator works as part of the regional Mental Health Service management team to lead and manage the development, planning and implementation of the Lived Experience (Peer) Mental Health program of the Mental Health Service. The occupant of this position provides line management, supervision and support to Lived Experience (Peer) workers; undertakes training to the wider Mental Health Service team; and role models recovery to those around them, including clients and carers, and provides input to clinical care as part of the multidisciplinary team as required.

Eligibility to Apply

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions

As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre‐employment health assessment. Please note that adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process.

Please note this recruitment process requires completion of satisfactory Pre‐Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position.
