About the role An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Professional Indemnity team in Melbourne on a permanent, full‑time basis. Our collaborative and high performing team advises and acts for both local and internationally based clients, with strong connections to the London insurance market.

Some of the interesting and varied aspects of this role include:

Advising underwriters in relation to complex coverage disputes regarding Financial Institutions, Director and Officer and Project Specific Professional Indentity policies.

Handling claims against financial professionals including trustees, auditors, accountants, financial planners and executives and directors involved in the financial services sector.

Acting for other insured professionals including lawyers, architects, accountants, real estate agents, property managers, engineers, valuers, insurance brokers and other construction professionals.

Acting for professionals in disciplinary actions.

About you Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a defendant professional indemnity role or commercial/insurance litigation. Experience or an interest in developing an expertise in financial lines claims would be advantageous, as would experience in advising on coverage issues. Our clients are at the heart of all that we do, so we are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a strong client service focus and a commercial approach to all dealings.
