A leading food manufacturing business based in the Southern Suburbs is seeking an experienced and hands‐on Maintenance Manager to lead the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a modern production facility.

About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
A key focus of this role will be the maintenance and optimisation of Thermoforming fixed plant equipment, particularly Multivac machinery, supporting production performance and driving preventative maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all site maintenance activities across production and packaging operations.
* Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
* Ensure the reliability and performance of Thermoforming and packaging equipment, including Multivac systems.
* Manage maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and capital improvement projects.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase plant efficiency.
* Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel and contractors.
* Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety, quality, and WHS requirements.
* Utilise and maintain maintenance management systems, including MEX.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
* Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Senior Maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience maintaining and troubleshooting Multivac Thermoforming equipment.
* Either an Electrical or Mechanical trade background.
* Sound knowledge and practical experience using MEX CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
* Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
* Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement projects.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business.
* Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or related industries will be highly regarded.
