This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026.
Governor Stirling Senior High School (SHS) is a school located in Woodbridge on the banks of the Swan River. It offers a variety of academic and vocational programmes for students of varying abilities, including the Department of Education Gifted and Talented Academic Program and approved specialist programmes in engineering, arts media and AFL.
Role
The Human Resource Officer will provide advice and support in the coordination of human resource activities and operations.
* Managing job vacancies in the Recruitment Advertising Management System (RAMS).
* Coordinating leave and relief management for both teaching and non‐teaching staff.
* Coordinating the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), including leave, payment and electronic advice processing.
* Assisting in the implementation of staff induction.
* Providing human resource advice and information to staff.
Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the successful applicant will ideally have sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to undertake effective negotiations and build positive relationships with staff at all levels.
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
* Effective support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of HR management systems and processes.
* Sound written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with staff and work within a team environment.
* Solid knowledge and skills in HR management, including research, planning and recruitment practices.
* Conceptual, analytical and problem‐solving skills and the ability to implement appropriate strategies.
