Primary objective
Contribute to the successful operation of governance services through the application of administrative and secretariat support across digital
projects managed within the Digital Project Services (DPS) division.
Context statement
Digital Project Services delivers complex, high value, and high-risk digital programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives for
core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach. Working closely with the client Agencies, the team comprises of
public sector employees and contractors working together to deliver multiple streams of activity as programs are implemented. The work
environment is dynamic, fast paced and results driven with high expectations of superior service delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. In collaboration with senior managers, work closely with the program and project teams to ensure that appropriate project governance,
reporting, risk management and change control processes are implemented and maintained during the project lifecycle.
1. Play a key role in supporting strong governance assurance standards, plans, and frameworks to enable effective decision-making, and
compliance with governance practices.
3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across projects and programs to ensure a collaborative and
outcomes-based approach to governance services and the use of systems and tools.
4. Lead the continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the digital project management framework.
5. Provide adept advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders on governance, data management, reporting, project assurance and risk
management to support the delivery of digital projects and programs.
1. Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment with governance activities across projects, actively participating and
contributing to innovative ideas and solutions.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level of demonstrated administrative experience in governance, secretariat services, data governance controls, project assurance
and risk and issue management and methodologies, particularly in digital transformation projects
1. Well-developed knowledge of government and industry standards in digital project management frameworks and governance
assurance standards and plans.
1. High level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with proven ability to mentor others and influence stakeholders
through effective engagement and change management.
1. Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ideas and plans to actionable steps.
2. Demonstrated high level writing skills to produce meeting records, reports, briefings, and submissions, develop recommendations,
monitor and follow-up action items.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity, and respect.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Information and Communication Technology, Business, Law or similar.
1. Experience working in a contemporary enterprise ICT services and/or digital projects environment.
