Role Overview:
As a Services Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering timely and effective catering and cleaning services within our health unit. Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing and serving meals, assisting with laundry duties, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and well-being of our patients, making this role both rewarding and essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with general housekeeping, including window high cleaning and routine carpet shampooing.
* Manage laundry services: wash, sort, dry, fold, and store uniforms and linens.
* Undertake minor sewing repairs and assist with equipment sterilisation processes.
* Prepare a variety of meals, including breakfasts, soups, and fast-serve options.
* Plate and deliver food to clients, ensuring their dietary requirements are met.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding food quality and client needs.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to relate to diverse individuals.
* Flexible approach to work and roster arrangements.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
* Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Limited experience in housekeeping, catering, or laundry services is desirable but not essential.
Persons with cooking certifications and/or skills are highly regarded and encouraged to apply.
