About Sunraysia Community Health Services

Sunraysia Community Health Service (SCHS) is a dynamic organisation promoting health, wellbeing and independence in a social model of health. The organisation is a source of primary and preventive care for our community members who are at risk of poor health outcomes, and experience acute health disparities. SCHS understands the influence of the Social Determinants of Health upon health inequities experienced by community members and work with consumers and community members, to structure their care around the context in which they live and work.

The Continence service provides assessment, treatment, and ongoing support for people experiencing bladder and bowel control problems. The service supports individuals of all ages, helping them to manage conditions such as urinary or faecal incontinence, constipation, and pelvic floor dysfunction. The aim is to improve quality of life, promote independence, and support dignity through effective continence management.

The purpose of the Continence service is to assess, manage, and support individuals with bladder and bowel continence difficulties. The service aims to improve quality of life by promoting independence, dignity, and confidence through early identification, effective treatment, education, and ongoing support. It provides person-centred care to help prevent complications, reduce symptoms, and enable individuals and their carers to manage continence needs safely and effectively.
