An exciting opportunity exists to join our remote area nursing team in Oodnadatta. Enjoy the South Australian outback lifestyle in a close‐knit community serving locals, surrounding cattle stations, and tourists travelling along the iconic Oodnadatta Track.
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Remote Area Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive, culturally safe healthcare to the Oodnadatta community. You will manage the day‐to‐day operations of the local clinic and deliver emergency care after hours and on weekends as required.
Working as part of a small, dedicated team — including another Registered Nurse and an Aboriginal Health Worker — and in partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Dunjiba Council, and Oodnadatta Aboriginal School, you will play a vital role in supporting health outcomes and wellbeing across this unique and remote region.
What We're Looking For
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate.
* Minimum of 3 years (full‐time equivalent) post‐registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with professional standards.
* Experience in management and leadership roles.
* Experience supervising students, Enrolled Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers/Practitioners, and less experienced Registered Nurses and/or Midwives.
