Case Worker - Broome Transitional Accommodation Services

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new Transitional Accommodation Service based in Broome. Working within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework, you will support women and children experiencing family and domestic violence and homelessness through tailored case management, advocacy and practical support.
You will manage a varied caseload, complete assessments and safety planning, facilitate referrals to specialist services, and empower women and children to build stability, resilience and independence. The role also works closely with local support services and community stakeholders to deliver coordinated support outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, based in Broome.
About you
You're someone who can build trust quickly and work calmly and confidently with women and children experiencing complex and sensitive situations. You're compassionate, resilient and adaptable, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people within the community.
In addition, you will also possess:
* Certificate IV or higher qualification in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health or a related field (highly desirable)
* Experience delivering case management and therapeutic support within community services, housing, FDV or related sectors
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across services
* Experience supporting people presenting with complex needs and risk factors
* Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and manage competing priorities
* Current Driver's Licence
* Working with Children Check
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
