Are you a compassionate, reliable support worker looking to make a genuine difference in someone's daily life?

We're seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a client living with a spinal cord injury in Cessnock.

This role starts with a regular Wednesday shift (10:00am – 2:00pm), with the goal of building into ongoing daily support for the right person.

About the Role

You'll be supporting your client to maintain dignity, comfort, and independence in their home environment. This is a hands-on role that requires care, confidence, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Full personal care including showering, grooming, and toileting
* Bowel care (training can be provided)
* Manual handling and transfers (hoist experience preferred)
* Light domestic assistance
* Encouraging independence and supporting daily routines
* Maintaining a safe and respectful environment

About You

You're a caring, mature-minded support worker who takes pride in providing quality, person-centered care. You're professional, reliable, and know how to make your client feel supported and respected.

You'll need:

* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Manual Handling & Bowel Care training (or willingness to complete)
* Driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)
* Female applicants only (genuine occupational requirement under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act)

Pay Rates – SCHADS Award E3.1 (Casual In-Home and SIL):

Base hourly rate: $35.15

Afternoon shift (ends between 8 PM – midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67

Active night shift (finishes after midnight or starts before 6 AM, Monday to Friday): $39.37

Saturday: $49.21

Sunday: $63.27

Public holiday: $77.33
