About the Role
Mindplace are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Wagga Wagga on a part time 2 days a week position.
As a Speech Pathologist at Mindplace, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting clients to improve their mental health, daily functioning, and overall wellbeing. This is a patient-facing clinical role where you will work with individuals experiencing challenges with mental health, psychosocial disability, or functional limitations.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, literacy, and swallowing using observation, case history, and standardized tools.
* Interpret findings to determine the nature and severity of communication and swallowing disorders and develop differential diagnoses within scope of practice.
* Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based intervention plans with clear functional goals and outcome measures.
* Deliver targeted individual and group therapy across areas including speech, language, fluency, voice, social communication, cognitive-communication, literacy, and dysphagia.
* Apply swallowing management strategies and utilize AAC systems as required, including training clients and communication partners.
* Monitor, evaluate, and document progress, while providing education and support to clients, families, carers, and stakeholders to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and unrestricted registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Minimum 2–3 years of current clinical experience.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) in line with professional standards.
* Strong clinical reasoning, critical analysis, and professional judgment.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, with an interest in mental health practice.
