We are seeking a passionate and experienced DFV Specialist - Client Care Coordinator to join our team and help us continue this vital work.

Role Overview:

As the Client Care Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for women seeking support, providing immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic intake services. You'll assess, triage, and coordinate referrals to ensure timely and appropriate care, while offering brief counselling and safety planning to support recovery and wellbeing.

What You'll Do:

* Deliver trauma-informed intake, assessment, and triage services
* Provide crisis counselling, risk assessment, and safety planning
* Coordinate referrals and service access for women and children
* Offer brief therapeutic case management and support
* Collaborate with the Practice Manager, Team Leader, and staff to uphold professional standards.
* Work within DFV service principles, standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

(Essential):

* Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related discipline, and registration/membership (or eligibility for registration) with appropriate professional representative/governing body (i.e., AHPRA; AASW) or Diploma of Counselling with registration/membership (or eligibility for registration) with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
* Applied knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – or the ability to acquire.
* Current National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire.
* Driver's License.

(Desirable):

* A good understanding of trauma theory, to inform assessment and decision making.
* Sound understanding and knowledge of QLD Child Protection system and relevant legislation including the Child Protection Act 1999.
* Knowledge of online client management systems.
