This role will work alongside the Managing Director, in a critical leadership position. Your initial responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Preparation and review of financial statements and taxation returnsStructuring for tax effectiveness and asset protectionTax consulting and business advisoryAttending to complex income tax issues and prepare advice pieces where necessaryManagement of internal and client communicationsDeveloping and managing strong client relationshipsand own client baseLeading and mentoring a teamAssist with converting prospects/ leads into new clientsExposure to complex and high profile clientsUtilise best practice suite of cloud based software and systemsTHE IDEAL CANDIDATEPossess a minimum of 8 years Australian public practice experience in Tax and Business ServicesStrongly align with our vision, mission and valuesCA or CPA qualifiedExceptional communication, people skills and work ethicExperience working as a manager or director within business servicesStrong technical knowledge in tax and accounting principlesExperience with complex structures including SMSF’sFriendly, positive and personable, yet ambitious, motivated and drivenHighest standard of ethics, confidentiality and professionalismHighly value long term, strong relationshipsAbility to communicate, report to and present to clients is essentialYou want to make a difference/ meaningful contribution in the lives of clients, the team in which you work, and the broader communityAbility to contribute to and develop the firm’s leadership team along with mentoring the accounting team on Tax Advisory and technical matters.Proficient in Xero, XPM and ExcelWHAT’S ON OFFERExcellent remuneration package based on experienceGenuine partner progression on offerClose knit, supportive and fun teamWork-life balance/ remoteworking flexibility
