Project Overview
humelink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. The western scope of works (≈140km) is worth %bn and includes delivery of new 500kV double‐circuit transmission lines spanning from Wagga Wagga substation to a new substation at Gugaa, the interface point with humelink east near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the snowy mountains for future connection to snowy 2.0.
Role
We are currently seeking experienced transmission stub setters and steelfixers to join our foundations team working on transmission tower builds. You will play a key role in the construction of transmission tower foundations, working within an established crew on large‐scale infrastructure projects. The role is on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 14/7 roster, based in Camp at Tarcutta, NSW. All flights, accommodation and meals are provided.
Duties
* Set out, align, and install tower foundation stubs in accordance with project specifications
* Ensure accurate positioning, orientation and elevation of stubs for transmission tower structures
* Assist with foundation preparation, including excavation, formwork and reinforcement installation
* Work closely with surveyors, riggers and construction crews during installation activities
* Interpret and follow technical drawings, plans and engineering specifications
* Ensure all works are completed in compliance with project quality standards
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to all site procedures and regulations
* Contribute to team productivity and support other civil and construction activities as required
Key Requirements
* Construction white card
* Valid driver's licence
* Certificate III in steelfixing – highly desirable
* Proven experience as a stub setter/steel fixer on transmission line/tower foundation works
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and set‐out information
* Additional tickets – excavator, rigging highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent work ethic and ability to work effectively in remote, team‐based environments
