Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments is part of the HM Consolidated group of business, comprising Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge, Bungle Bungle Guided Tours, The PumpHouse Restaurant, Nexus Airlines, Aviair and HeliSpirit.
This role is primarily based at Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments,Kununurra's only 4.5 star self-contained accommodation. The property consists of 60 executive style apartments located within tropical gardens, around a free-from resort style pool.
About the Role
As the Grounds and Maintenance Manager you will manage the daily maintenance, presentation and upkeep of Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments infrastructure and grounds.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Oversee and undertake a range of maintenance and groundskeeping duties to ensure the continual operation of Freshwater Apartments and The PumpHouse Restaurant, including but not limited to: swimming pool management, landscaping, waste management, basic plumbing, electrical (test and tag etc) and 'handyman' tasks
* Contribute to the development and upkeep of maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimum presentation and maintenance of the property, and consistent operation of all services (electricity, water, gas, telephones, sewerage etc)
* Undertake garden and property maintenance of company accommodation
* Engage and coordinate third party contractors as required and within prescribed limits
* Manage equipment and vehicle fleet ensuring adherence to cleaning and maintenance schedules. Ensure accurate maintenance records, books and manuals are maintained and accessible for every vehicle and piece of equipment
* Order maintenance stock and supplies and manage inventory control and logistics within prescribed limits

About You
* A minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, that included the responsibility for undertaking a range of building maintenance and landscaping duties
* A strong working knowledge of reticulation systems, pool management and filtration systems
* Self-motivated, organised with a positive outlook, ability to contribute to a strong team culture
* Be problem solver with a keen eye for detail
* Possess a safety-first mindset and a demonstrated history of compliance with company policies and broader regulations
* Physically fit and healthy with the ability to work largely outdoors in hot and humid conditions
* Hold a current MR Driver's Licence (or be able to obtain)
* Test & Tag qualification (preferrable or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid Certificate – (preferable)
* Aboriginal cultural competency or awareness (desirable)
