**Job description**:
This Federal Government department is seeking
**9 Helpdesk Officers**
**APS3** for a
**6 month** labour Hire contract.
**Purpose of the role**
Helpdesk Support Officer shall supports the Temporary Election Workforce (TEW) Support Officer in the managing of queries and delivery of advice to TEW and Divisions, managing the TEW systems, and implementing policies and procedures developed by National Office.
**Key position responsibilities**
- You are the first point of call from TEW staff in relation to employment, training, and payments (ETP)
- Make and communicate decisions within defined boundaries relating to the area of responsibility using agencys training, templates and standard operating procedures provided.
- Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships, including assisting in the resolution of stakeholder problems.
- Make decisions and resolve issues with some guidance from more senior staff.
- Escalate complex issues as required.
- Undertake quality assurance activities to maintain the integrity, availability and capability of the systems including data input
**Additional responsibilities during an Electoral Event**
- Rostered hours - Work on weekends may be required
- Increased volume of work to be expected
- Given the nature of work, you will be based in the office
- Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

**Mandatory**

- Demonstrates resilience and calm when dealing with complaints or a challenging situation.

- Sound computer skills and an ability to quickly learn new technology.
- Professional demeanour with a high level of integrity.
**Desirable**
- Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Experience working in a call centre environment.
**Essential Requirements**
