About the role
Reporting to the IT Security and Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the leading the Information security team at CBHS. The IT Security Team Leader is responsible for Proactive and Reactive threat mitigation for all information security threats that impact the CBHS Technology Environment.
The IT Security Team Leader will be expected to use their experience, knowledge and tools to maintain the information security control environment and in doing so keep the information assets of CBHS and its members safe from unauthorised use.
About the role:
* Third point of response for all security related alerts
* Ensuring all alerts are triaged and closed correctly
* Contribute to IS strategic plan to ensure continued systems enhancement, education and focus to drive CBHS business efficiencies.
* Ensure that defined strategy is being executed correctly in conjunction with the CIO and IS Team Leaders, in line with the CBHS Risk Management Framework.
* Maintain all security controls to ensure optimal function
* Review configurations, suggest and implement improvements that lead to stronger security controls
* Implementing new security controls to address gaps in cyber security posture or enhance posture
* Using available security controls and processes to proactively identify, mitigate and remediate threats to CBHS' computer environment
* Develop, update and maintain Information Security documentation, including playbooks and response procedures.
* Drive education and awareness initiatives to highlight security risks to all staff.
* Provide training, mentoring and coaching to IT security staff.
* Provide effective leadership.
About you:
* 3-5 years' experience in a security engineer/architect role or equivalent
* 2-3 years' experience in a leadership role
* Experience in a systems administrator or network engineer role, building and maintain servers, firewalls, switches, etc.
* Experience performing forensic examination of Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, DNS, DHCP, Network Traffic
* Skills using security tools such as Incident Response Tools, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network Access Control, SIEM
* Experience implementing new security tools such as PAM, SWG, Application Allow-Listing, etc.
* Experience implementing and supporting cloud technologies and platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
* Experience writing IT documentation, IT policy and Training materials
