The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Coordinator Development Engineering to lead our Development Engineering team.
This is a key leadership role responsible for providing technical expertise, strategic oversight and operational direction in the assessment and delivery of development-related infrastructure. You will ensure engineering outcomes are safe, sustainable and aligned with Council's long-term planning objectives.
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineering professionals
* Coordinate and assess development applications across civil infrastructure areas including stormwater, roads and utilities
* Oversee operational works and contributed assets to ensure quality and long-term sustainability
* Provide strategic engineering advice across Council to support planning, infrastructure and growth management
* Engage with developers, consultants and government stakeholders on technical matters
* Contribute to continuous improvement, standards development and planning frameworks
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and Council policies
About You:
You are a strong technical leader with a passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure outcomes. You bring a collaborative approach, sound judgement and the ability to lead a high-performing team in a complex regulatory environment.
You will bring:
* A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualification, or extensive relevant experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams
* Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and development assessment processes
* Extensive experience in infrastructure design, planning and delivery
* High‐level understanding of legislation, planning instruments and engineering standards
* Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
