We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Government & Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in delivering safe, high‐quality maintenance outcomes for the Contract. Reporting to the Regional Team Leader, you'll help ensure works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with performance standards that support essential community services.
This is a 12‐month contract role and includes a Tool of Trade allowance.
What You'll Do
* Provide clear direction and guidance to subcontractors, ensuring all maintenance works meet required specifications and contractual KPIs.
* Plan, schedule and manage maintenance activities to support timely and high‐quality service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with Downer's Zero Harm principles, including active participation in incident reporting, hazard identification, and HSE processes.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal team members, Service Delivery Partners, and client representatives to achieve shared outcomes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and supporting delivery of best‐practice initiatives.
What You'll Bring
* Practical experience within the general building and construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of work planning, scheduling procedures, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Demonstrated ability to supervise subcontractors and monitor quality, compliance, and safety standards.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage contractors, clients, and internal teams.
* A proactive, self‐motivated approach with strong judgement, time management, and a commitment to delivering high‐quality outcomes.
