Downer has secured a national Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland and is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to support the maintenance of properties across the portfolio, based in Rockhampton Town Centre.
What You'll Do
* Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems in a shopping centre environment.
* Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise disruption.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
* Install and commission split systems, ducted air conditioning and ventilation equipment as required.
* Monitor and maintain indoor air quality and temperature control to support resident wellbeing.
* Ensure all work complies with Australian standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements, including refrigerant handling.
Qualifications
* Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARCtick Licence).
* Electrical Work Licence (Restricted or Full).
* Proven experience servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
* Demonstrated fault‐finding and diagnostic experience across split, ducted and commercial HVAC systems.
* Experience in preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
* Background working in residential, commercial or community environments.
* Experience with installation and commissioning of HVAC systems (desirable).
* Prepared to undertake pre‐employment checks including a National Police Check and medical.
* Must have a Working with Children check or be willing to obtain one.
