What you'll do
* Build, run, calibrate
1D/2D TUFLOW
models for urban and regional catchments (ARR2019 aligned).
* Set up hydrology with
Storm Injector/RORB/MiRORB
(and
DRAINS
where applicable); prepare design events, sensitivity tests and mitigation options.
* Develop mapping and deliverables using
QGIS/MapInfo
, and coordinate with CAD/12D for concept design inputs.
* Translate modelling into
clear client advice
: concise memos, reports, and presentations that drive decisions.
* Collaborate with engineers and drafters; contribute to internal tools, templates, and modelling standards.
What you'll bring
* Proven experience delivering
TUFLOW
flood models (1D/2D) for councils, developers or infrastructure owners.
* Solid grounding in
ARR2019
, hydrology/hydraulics, and contemporary floodplain risk management.
* Proficiency with
QGIS/MapInfo
; familiarity with
RORB, DRAINS, MUSIC
is a plus.
* Quality mindset—version control of models/inputs, reproducible workflows, and strong documentation.
* Clear communicator who can explain complex concepts simply; eligible to work in Australia.
