About the role
We currently have opportunities for experienced individuals to join our Fixed Plant Processing Team within our WAIO Operations at Jimblebar. We are looking for people who are motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and will enjoy being part of collaborative and diverse teams. This is a permanent position, working an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster, fly in fly out (FIFO) from Perth. Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating the processing plant and equipment in a safe, environmentally responsible, productive, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
* Safely operate and clean fixed plant equipment including conveyors, crushing and screening facilities, stockyards and balance machines
* Willingness to be trained on all equipment and plant
* Develop high quality, task‐based risk assessments
* Actively identify, report and rectify hazards
* Conduct inspections to a high quality, reporting on all defects
* Participate in field leadership activities
* Have an inclusive nature and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds
* Execute the production activities according to the Production Plan
* Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices
* Conduct routine inspections with strong attention to detail; identifying required maintenance
* Liaise with other teams to coordinate activities, including fitters, electricians and remote operation controllers
Requirements
* Strong practical operating experience in a similar fixed plant process technician role – experience working in Iron Ore, Gold or Nickel will be looked upon favourably
* Current full West Australian C class motor vehicle licence or equivalent Australian State motor vehicle licence
* A motivated problem solver who is dedicated to continuously improving their work environment
* An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
* Rock breaker operations experience – highly desirable
* Enter and Work in Confined Spaces – highly desirable
* Gas Test Atmospheres – highly desirable
* Work Safely at Heights – highly desirable
* Bobcat, loader and excavator experience – preferred
* Sound time management skills
* Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour, including the ability to hold team members to account
