A Snapshot
As Senior Manager, Renewables & Carbon Procurement based in Melbourne, you will report to the Director, Energy & Utility and work closely with the rest of the Energy and Technology team across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
* Shape and implement our energy strategy to support AirTrunk's continued growth.
* Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of renewable energy PPAs and carbon procurement for compliance market.
* Be in a commercially focused role responsible for turning market opportunities into executed transactions that support our clean energy targets, regulatory obligations, and long-term cost objectives.
Your Day-to-Day
Renewable Energy Procurement
* Source renewable energy opportunities (solar, wind, hybrid, storage-linked projects) across APAC markets.
* Build and manage relationships with developers, retailers, brokers and other relevant stakeholders.
* Lead RFPs and bilateral negotiations for renewable offtake.
* Structure and negotiate PPAs (physical, virtual, sleeved, portfolio structures).
* Drive transactions from term sheet through contract signature.
Carbon Procurement
* Source and contract International Carbon Credits (ICC) in Singapore.
* Evaluate supply credibility, eligibility rules, and delivery risk.
* Negotiate carbon supply agreements and manage price and volume exposure.
Commercial & Market Analysis
* Analyse pricing, market benchmarks, and commercial risks for both PPAs and carbon instruments.
* Support internal approvals through financial modelling and business case development.
* Work closely with legal, finance, risk, and sustainability teams to close potential deals.
Requirements
* Has a relevant degree in Energy, Engineering, Business or a related field.
* Min. 5 years of relevant working experience with proven experience in negotiating and executing PPAs and/or carbon contracts.
* Background in renewable energy markets, carbon markets, energy trading, or project development.
* Strong in communication, commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
* Understanding of renewable project economics and key PPA risk drivers.
* Familiarity with compliance carbon frameworks and regulated credit mechanisms (especially in the context of Singapore).
* Ability to manage multiple live transactions in fast-moving markets.
