A leading Australian government agency is looking to engage Multiple Mid- Senior Network Engineers to support key networking and cybersecurity projects. The Network Engineers will play a key role in the deployment, management, and maintenance of systems to support secure and reliable network environments. You will join a highly technical team, that collaborates to delivery projects in highly technical environments. The successful candidates will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2026, with two 12-month extension options.
The successful Network Engineerswill be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Planning and deploying networking and cybersecurity systems, to optimise the ability to monitor, detect, prevent and quickly respond to cybersecurity threats.
* Working as part of the BAU network operations team to support business-as-usual operations of network infrastructure and network security services
* Providing expert advice and undertaking configuration of networking equipment and systems.
* Working as part of the network modernisation project team to support network segmentation initiatives.
The successful Network Engineerwill have experience in the following:
* Experience managing and/or supporting Cisco Routing and switching (NAC and 802.1x)
* Experience or exposure to on premise cloud technologies.
* Proficient in troubleshooting, investigation and reverse engineering of complex and undocumented systems.
* Strong experience configuring firewalls, routing and switching.
