The successful candidate will work with Aboriginal consumers and their families to provide respectful and culturally responsive care. This includes working in the hospital setting and within the community, planning and implementing admission, treatment, case management, referral, discharge and follow up for Aboriginal people utilising mental health services.

A key aspect of this role is supporting the consumer, the family and health service staff in accessing other services relevant to the needs of the person being supported. The successful candidate will also assist with ensuring that Aboriginal consumers and their families receive a respectful and culturally appropriate service.

The ideal candidate will possess effective written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills and a current NSW driver's licence (P2 acceptable). They will also have a demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, prioritise their workload and plan accordingly.
