The Role
As a Full Stack Developer at GalaBid, you will play a crucial role in shaping both the frontend user experience and the backend architecture of our global platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications.

Key Responsibilities
* Feature Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs using Python and Django, and rich, responsive frontends using Angular.
* System Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, optimizing our platforms for high availability, security, and scalability during high-traffic fundraising events.
* Code Quality: Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Participate in rigorous code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
* Mentorship (Senior Level): Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior and mid-level developers on the team.
Technical Requirements
Backend:
* Preferred: Strong professional experience with Python and Django / Django REST Framework (DRF).
* Alternative: Deep expertise in other modern backend ecosystems (e.g., Node.js/Express, Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET Core), coupled with a strong willingness to transition to Python/Django.
* Experience designing, securing, and optimising production-grade RESTful APIs.
* Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and database design.
Frontend:
* Preferred: Solid experience building enterprise-grade SPAs using TypeScript and Angular (2+), alongside the Material Framework.
* Alternative: Extensive experience with other modern component-based frontend frameworks—specifically React or Vue.js —and a readiness to cross-train into Angular.
* Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SASS, with a sharp eye for responsive, accessible UI design.
Tools & Workflows:
* Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
* Databases: Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and optimising queries.
Nice-to-Haves (Desirable but not essential)
* Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
* Familiarity with containerization using Docker for local development or deployment.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of web performance optimisation and security best practices (OWASP).
