Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing
Location: Murray Bridge, SA
Salary: $50–$53/hr + Allowances + Shift Loading + Super | $115k–$120k Package (excl OT) | Full‐time | Permanent. Looking for a long‐term role close to home? We're seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join a high‐performing maintenance team at a large food manufacturing site located just outside Murray Bridge. This role suits a mechanically strong, hands‐on fitter who enjoys variety, problem‐solving, and working with a supportive, experienced team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for mechanical maintenance across a busy production facility, including:
* Preventative & reactive maintenance
* Work on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps & processing equipment
* Fabrication & welding (MIG essential; TIG/STIG beneficial)
* Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
* Occasional weekend work (every third weekend) with an RDO during the week
Shifts & Roster
Monthly rotation across:
* 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
* 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
You'll work a standard 5‐day week with rostered weekends built into the cycle.
About You
We're looking for a fitter with:
* Strong experience in heavy industrial or FMCG environments
* Confidence working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors & mechanical plant
* Welding/fabrication skills (MIG essential)
* A proactive, safety‐focused approach
* A willingness to learn within a senior, supportive team
