Geovert is looking for an IT Manager to take ownership of our business systems, technology operations and digital improvement roadmap across Australia, New Zealand and North America.
This is not a traditional service desk management role. You will be responsible for turning IT from an operational support function into a genuine value driver for the business. You will lead system improvements across NetSuite, SharePoint, plant and asset management, Microsoft 365, cyber security and vendor performance, while working closely with our incoming AI Engineer to build a more connected and future‐focused technology function.
Reporting to the COO, this role will suit someone who enjoys being hands‐on, solving business problems and delivering visible commercial outcomes.
You will:
* Lead the optimisation and utilisation of NetSuite, including project cost-to-complete, fixed assets and inventory modules
* Support the transition of plant, equipment and asset management away from manual processes into a fit‐for‐purpose CMMS/EAM system
* Maintain and improve existing SharePoint workflows across tendering, QMS, dashboards and operational reporting
* Partner with the AI Engineer to support data, systems and automation initiatives across the business
* Lead IT operations across AU/NZ/US, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, SSO, MFA and conditional access
* Establish and uplift Geovert's Essential 8 cyber maturity baseline
* Manage our IT Systems Administrator and support their ongoing development
* Own vendor and MSP relationships across Microsoft, NetSuite, Pronamics, telco, CMMS and IT support partners
* Work with senior leaders to identify technology improvements that reduce cost, improve visibility and support business growth
About you
You are a commercially minded IT or Business Systems professional who enjoys building practical solutions, not just maintaining systems. You are comfortable working in a lean, fast‐moving environment where you will need to balance strategy, delivery and hands‐on problem solving.
You will likely have experience in a mid‐sized business and understand how to make systems work for operational teams, finance, projects and leadership. You can explain technical decisions in plain commercial terms and are confident working with senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
* Experience in IT leadership, business systems, ERP or technology operations within a mid‐sized business
* Hands‐on NetSuite experience, ideally including administration, customisation, module activation or optimisation
* Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform workflows
* Exposure to plant, fleet, asset management, CMMS, EAM or fixed asset systems
* Experience managing vendors, MSPs or external implementation partners
* Strong understanding of cyber security basics, ideally including Essential 8, MFA, conditional access and endpoint management
* A delivery‐focused mindset with examples of systems projects you have successfully implemented
* The ability to work closely with operational, finance and executive teams
* A practical, low‐ego and solutions‐focused approach
Experience in construction, mining, infrastructure, civil engineering, industrial services or a project‐based business would be highly regarded.
