The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design and construct the Snowy 2.0 project, based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW that will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. This iconic project will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Recruiting on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd for Experienced Mechanical Tradespeople with TBM experience for the Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region. The role operates a 14:7 roster, 12- hour shifts that may include days/night rotating.
Responsibilities
* Mechanical maintenance of underground machines, including but not limited to Tunnel Boring Machines, Drill Rigs and Conveyor Systems.
* Read and interpret schematics for Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Lubrication Systems, conducting repairs when required.
* Monitor sensors for grease, oil, cooling, and other ancillary systems.
* Responsible for identifying all mechanical safety and technical hazards and notifying the appropriate persons accordingly.
* Perform daily safety and maintenance checks as well as extraordinary maintenance of the above-mentioned equipment.
* Familiarize themselves with approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans.
* Liaise with the rest of the Plant & Equipment Team for planning ongoing and future works.
* Provide support to production team for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.
Required Licences & Tickets
* Mechanical Trade Certificate
* Driver's licence – HR preferable
* High risk work licence – Forklift, EWP, DG
* Working at Heights
* Confined Space
* General Construction Induction training (white card)
* Right to work in Australia
* Be able to pass medical and a criminal history check
These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
